Our Team

Bernadette Pablo is the Director of Human Resources of Horizon Christian Fellowship. In 1991, with a heart to work with youth, she began full-time ministry at Horizon Christian Fellowship with the high school youth group. Still with a passion to reach the young and hurting, she transferred to YDI (Youth Development, Inc.) and the National Youth Crisis Hotline, a para-church organization under Horizon Christian Fellowship where she took an active role in local and national outreaches and served as the Accounting Manager. In 1995 she became the Director of Human Resources using her gifts to minister to the staff at Horizon, with responsibilities for all aspects of human resources, payroll and administration for the church and schools, including Horizon University.

Bernadette earned her B.A. in Public Administration from San Diego State University. After graduation she attended the University of San Diego’s Paralegal Program and obtained her Paralegal Certificate with Honors. For a few years she worked as a consultant and paralegal for a firm specializing in property tax law, prior to coming on staff at Horizon Christian Fellowship.

Her life verse is Psalm 37:4 – Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart; through this verse, she has seen how God has been faithful to direct every step of her life and ministry. Bernadette has been married to her wonderful husband Tony since March 1991 and they are blessed with two beautiful daughters – Paige and Isabella.
