New Graduate Program at Horizon U: MA in Biblical Studies
Online Master of Arts (MA) to Start Fall, 2020 Term
With many college-grad ministry leaders and Bible teachers seeking graduate-level Biblical study, Horizon University has officially added an accredited, Master of Arts program to its Bachelor, Associate and Diploma programs in Biblical Studies.
The 37-credit hour, graduate program is offered entirely online for the sake of students who are working and/or remote. But some classes can be taken on the Indy-area campus.
The Master of Arts in Biblical Studies offering will be available in the 2020-2021 academic year. The program prioritizes in-depth study of the Bible such as:
- Old Testament (OT) Survey and individual OT book studies
- New Testament (NT) Survey and individual NT book studies
- Bible Study methods and interpretation
In addition to in-depth Bible study, the coursework includes classes in theology, church history, global missions and apologetics.
Asked about the purpose in adding this MA program, Horizon University President, Randall Dodge, PhD/JD said, “In simple terms, we plan to give more Christian leaders a deeper understanding of the Scriptures. Ultimately, we hope to multiply disciples who share our commitment to the Word of God.”
